Technical characteristics

A conical head is generally specified by following factors :

Big Diameter (Gd.Diam.), Small Diameter (Pt.Diam.), Bottom angle, Knuckle radius (Rc) or
Big Diameter (Gd.Diam.), Small Diameter (Pt.Diam.), Height, Knuckle radius (Rc).

For 15°cones : Possibility to realize it without welding seams
Possible knuckle radius value (Rc) if edging machining :
4 – 15 – 30 – 50 – 75 – 100 – 125 – 150 – 200 …

Possible knuckle radius value (Rc) if embossing process:
5 – 10 – 15 – 20 – 30 – 50 – …

Cones and shells

Conical heads are manufactured from DVAI’s stainless steel plate stock. We master quality and deadlines.

Qualified welders: we can supply you the welder’s qualification (WQ) and welding process system (WPS)
Large plate widths stocked, in order to limit the number of welding seams
Machine polishing possibility
Possibility to realize openings on cones (before or after forming)
Possibility to manufacture your shells with the exact expansion length of your heads for easy assembling
